Send a Query to Ciara Smith at Spencerhill Associates Literary Agency

Thank you so much for wishing to seek my representation. I'm truly honored you'd query me. I know writing and submitting a work is deeply personal and I endeavor to read thoroughly each query I receive. I also know many ND and disabled authors query me; If you need any accommodations for this form please email me at csmith@spencerhillassociates.com. I also don't fuss overly much about your query letter format. As long as I understand what you're book is about, I will continue reading your submission and base my decision on the sample pages and the information you provided.

As a ND and disabled agent, I have accommodations as well. While I would love to give personalized feedback to each query, finding the words for it is particularly difficult. I do have many forms for declines, to attempt to provide feedback and critique that may help you, but also help me be able to phrase it properly.

Please familiarize yourself with my manuscript wishlist: https://www.manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/ciara-smith/

*If you send me an adult Romantasy on or after August 1st, you will get a decline that it is not a fit for my list. Please do not try to use other genre tags to try to send me an adult Romantasy.*

NOTE ABOUT AGENCY: A response from one agent is a response from all, so choose wisely. You can only query one of us. We have recently noticed an uptick in authors submitting the same work to a different agent at Spencerhill following a rejection from someone else with the agency. Please do not do this. The Spencerhill Team passes along queries to our colleagues if we feel it might be their cup of tea.
