Surprisingly personalized, which I appreciated. Complimented my pitch and mentioned that the story progression didn't grab her in the synopsis.

First of all, a big thank you to Kaitlyn for giving BIPOC authors a chance.
Q: 14 Oct
R: 16 Oct (Her response was amazing).
‘Dear Andrea Amanda,
Thank you so much for your query, but I am going to pass at this time. Unfortunately, I don't believe I'm the right agent to champion this piece, as I'm not the best fit for stories focusing on Nephilim. Thank you for considering me for your work, and I wish you luck in your writing future.’
She also gave me some amazing querying tips!

Always verify agent's information before sending your query, and review the agent's website(s) for more up-to-date information.
Though we do our best, QueryTracker can not guarantee the accuracy of any information provided.
An agent listing on QueryTracker is not an endorsement or recommendation of that agent by QueryTracker.
Before contacting an agent, authors should verify and assess the agent's requirements and suitability by visiting the agent's website(s), and becoming familiar with ways to spot and avoid bad agents. A good place to start is Writers Beware, a watch group that helps inform and protect authors from shady practices.
“Thank you so much for your query, but I am going to pass at this time. Unfortunately, the query being written in the voice of the character made it hard to become pulled in by the storyline. Due to this, I don't believe I'm the right agent to champion this piece. Thank you for considering me for your work, and I wish you luck in your writing future.”
The bummer here is that I saw a famous writer say he got his agent by writing the query in first person. So I thought I’d give it a shot with a few queries. I have the third person query prepared as well.
Ah well.
