Quick response to query, and although it was a rejection, it felt like a warm, comforting hug, and reminded me of a beloved grade school teacher I had, which was so appreciated as she was one of the first few agents I queried! :) Made me want to query her again in the future with different material. offer of rep: 10/13/25
I have a couple of fulls out now and am waiting another week to see if they reply before I nudge as I've heard that some agents have a "step-aside" auto-reply for offer of rep nudges because they don't have time. Working with Esty would be amazing, though! She's got great editorial ideas, and I love her energy.
